Workshop description:
Sketch by Sketch in Cape Breton: Capturing the Fall colours with artist Emma FitzGerald
Participants will work with pen, not pencil, freeing up inhibitions and learning to draw quickly in a series of shorter exercises. This will be followed by a landscape drawing with watercolour which will ideally be outside, weather permitting. The exercises will encourage us to learn from each other and the hope is participants will leave with a renewed desire to sketch the world around them. All levels are welcome.
Supplies:
personal sketchbook
waterproof fine tip black pen (I use uniball from Staples)
travel watercolour kit
3 watercolour paint brushes; fine, medium and large
*dress for the weather, bring a folding chair if you like
